RECORDING OF THE CPP 2022 ZOOM INFO SESSION WITH INSTRUCTORS (APRIL 14, 2022)

Q: WHO IS THE CPP FOR?

A: CPP program is designed primarily with students and practitioners in the field of the performing arts (actors, dancers, performers, directors, choreographers, writers, etc), or anyone interested in broadening their practical knowledge in the field of contemporary performance. While we will be able to accommodate participants at various levels, the faculty expects a reasonable level of familiarity with the field, the areas of performing and physical training, as well as a high level of commitment and discipline to the work at hand.

Q: WHAT DO YOU WEAR FOR THE CPP CLASS?

A: Most people wear lightweight clothing they'd work out in. Others wear leotards, fitted t-shirts, and leggings, or dance wear. Both are

beneficial and appropriate so long as they aren't too baggy to be in the way of movement. Workshops will be taught and taken barefoot in the studios. Individual instructors might have specific requirements - if so, these will be communicated to you well in advance of the first class.

Q: HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL CCP PROGRAM ADMIT?

A: We expect to accept approximately 16 participants into this year's program.

Q: WHAT IS THE COST OF ATTENDING THE CPP PROGRAM?

A: The two-week intensive costs 1,200 - 1,400 EURO, depending on the date of application.

Tuition will cover intensive classes held on Mondays to Saturdays each week.

Q: MAY I REGISTER FOR ONE WEEK ONLY?

A: No. This year’s program is designed as sequential training; in order to complete the work, it is necessary to attend both weeks.

Q: WHAT IS THE POLICY ON MISSING CLASSES?

A: Our attendance policy does not allow for excessive absences. Absences will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Excessive

absences from classes may prevent a student from participating in performances, or result in dismissal from the program.

Q: DO YOU PROVIDE TRAVEL OR HOUSING ARRANGEMENTS FOR ADMITTED PARTICIPANTS?

A: No, admitted applicants are responsible for securing their own travel and housing arrangements. In the past, many participants found housing on Airbnb and similar platforms, some stayed in hostels, etc. Some program participants found shared housing where they were able to stay together.

These are just some of the options - you are welcome to explore others. We do recommend that you seek housing as soon as you are able, as Split is a major tourist destination in Croatia, and July is peak season period. In some cases, we may be able to advise or offer guidance in terms of housing -- if needed, reach out to us via email.

Q: WHAT TRAVEL DOCUMENTS WILL I NEED TO ENTER CROATIA?

A: Make sure you have a valid passport. US/Canada citizens as well as EU citizens do not require visas - if you are traveling from other areas, please research visa requirements for Croatia from your country of origin well in advance of your planned arrival to Croatia. CPP is not able to advise on immigration matters.

Q: WHAT COVID DOCUMENTATION WILL I NEED TO TRAVEL?

A: As you know, pandemic-related restrictions are often changing and guidance is updated frequently. While (as of April 2022,) foreign nationals entering Croatia are no longer required to provide COVID test results, CPP program requests all accepted participants to send us a negative COVID test result prior to commencing the program. Additionally, proof of vaccination is required by the government to enter the country, and CPP complies with this requirement also. Please understand that guidance is frequently updates and may change between now and the dates of the program in July 2022. Therefore, we ask any accepted participants to stay abreast of the current information, as CPP cannot be responsible for ensuring compliance with any COVID-related travel protocols.

Q: WHAT ARE THE COVID PROTOCOLS FOR INDOOR ACTIVITIES IN CROATIA?

A: Currently (April 2022,) mask mandate for indoor activities has been lifted in Croatia. As before, we will monitor the guidance from the governmental health authorities, and let you know if there is a change in the current posture.

Q: I READ THAT THERE ARE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR CROATIAN RESIDENTS. CAN I APPLY?

A: No. Due to the funding restrictions, and an extremely limited number of scholarships available, we can not accept unsolicited scholarship applications. If you are only able to attend on a scholarship, we kindly ask that you NOT submit an application, unless you receive an invitation from one of our expert nominators. We appreciate your understanding.

Q: CAN CLASSES BE VIDEO-TAPED OR PHOTOGRAPHED?

A: Because of the copyright, photography and videotaping is not allowed under any circumstances.

Q: I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONTACT YOU?

A: Write to us at cpp@waxfactory.nyc

Q: I'M IN! HOW DO I APPLY?

A: Simply click here to complete and submit your application.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?

A: We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis. We will be accepting and reviewing applications until June 12, 2022, or until the available spots for the workshop are filled, whichever comes first -- therefore, if you are interested in attending, we recommend that you do not wait until the last minute to apply. You will receive a response within 10 days of applying, and if you are accepted, we will ask that you remit a non-refundable deposit of 500 EURO in order to guarantee a spot for the workshop.
